There are 40 splines on the inner end of the torsion bar, and 44 on the outer.
One turn of the inner changes the angle of the spring plate 9 deg., one turn of the outer only 8.18 deg., allowing you to turn one way on the inner, and the opposite way on the outer, for a net change of .82 deg., good for an approximate 3/8" (.375) height change at the wheel. This is for stock size torsion bars only.
